We announce the death of Myrtle Williams, one of the first three women Police Officers in Dominica.
Age: 84 of 23 Cork Street, Roseau
She died on 10th of November, 2019
She leaves to mourn:
Adopted child: Ruthine James
Adopted grand-children: Dr. Gerard Jean-Jacques and Lucy Ann John Baptiste
Nephews: Gary John, residing in Toronto, Canada
Many cousins including: Hilius, Roney, McKenzie, Clement, Rosemund and Gus James; Francis, Casinda, Anne-Marie, Luhanson, Kodie, Wensley, Nia, Roney Jr., Bertha Adams and family, Sybille and family in French Guyana and Honduras.
God-daughter: Brenda Alexander
Neighbours: the Davis’s, Reggie and Joan Elie, and Kay White and their families.
Close friends: Athene Shillingford, the Lloyd family, and the Jones family of Montreal, Canada
Other relatives and friends: the Henderson family here and in Queens, New York and the Riviere family.
Other friends and acquaintances too numerous to mention.
The body of the late Myrtle Williams will be transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home for viewing at 2:30pm on Monday, 25th November at the Roseau Cathedral Chapel. Funeral service takes place at 3:00pm followed by interment at the Roseau Catholic Cemetery.
