{"id":4793,"date":"2025-07-09T11:28:36","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T15:28:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lyndhurstfuneralhome.com\/dominica\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=4793"},"modified":"2025-07-09T12:45:29","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T16:45:29","slug":"philomen-sharplis","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/lyndhurstfuneralhome.com\/dominica\/events\/philomen-sharplis\/","title":{"rendered":"Philomen Sharplis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We announce the death of retired huckster Philomen Sharplis also known as Philo or Ma Otis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Age: 86 of Moore Park who resided at Fortune and Citronier<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>She died on Sunday 29<sup>th<\/sup> June 2025 at the DCFH.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>She left to mourn<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4 sons and 4 daughters Eric George, Thomas, Simon, Gerard, Jennifer, Decima, Veronica and Lucia Sharplis.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Grandchildren: Leahrah, Jillian, Nancy, Verna, Gary and Kinte George, Kenny, Joel, Sharlene, Chad, Cody, Jayanie, Ali, Malika, Latoya and Gabriella Sharplis, Wayne Harve, Shanna Bernard, Issaab, Darnel and Chelsea Esprit in New York.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Great grandchildren: Jayceon, Kierra, Paige, Dalia, Diella, Haven, Sundiata, Acey.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sister: Florita Paul from Belle Maniere.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step daughter:\u00a0 Gloria Matthew.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sons in law: Kent Esprit and Francis Valentine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nieces and nephews including:\u00a0 Ethel, Alice and Sam Paul.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friends both here and abroad including the huckster community.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Caretaker: Nurse Ivo Jno Baptiste.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The body of the late Philomen Sharplis also known as Philo or Ma Otis will be transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home for viewing at 2:00pm at the People\u2019s Pentecostal Family Church, Goodwill on Friday 25<sup>th<\/sup> July 2025.
