{"id":5406,"date":"2026-09-03T11:56:46","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T15:56:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lyndhurstfuneralhome.com\/dominica\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=5406"},"modified":"2026-09-03T11:56:46","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T15:56:46","slug":"marshall-defoe","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/lyndhurstfuneralhome.com\/dominica\/events\/marshall-defoe\/","title":{"rendered":"Marshall Defoe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marshall Defoe, who was born in Layou village, St. Joseph Parish, Dominica.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marshall was born on 5th October 1955.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He was the son of the late Valentine and Elfreda Defoe, and grandson of the late Ada Joseph.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He was the brother of Margaret, Algernon (deceased), Geraldine, Valerie, Trevor (deceased), and Catherine Defoe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He was the uncle of Lauren Defoe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He will also be remembered by his cousins Rosalind, Laurent, Cromwell, Albert, Matheous, Dennis, Ashanta, Merlin, Emelda, Amin, Gemma, Nesma and many more.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Other family members, loved ones and friends left to mourn include Anthea, Vincent, Lenna, and many others.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marshall will be missed and remembered by his family, friends, and all those who knew him.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Due to the circumstances surrounding his death we cannot confirm any other details.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>May his soul rest in eternal peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The funeral of the late Marshall Defoe will be held at Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Friday, 11\u1d57\u02b0 September from 10:00am followed by interment at the Roseau Catholic Cemetery.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marshall Defoe, who was born in Layou village, St. Joseph Parish, Dominica.
