Dear Families,
Lyndhurst has faithfully served our communities over the years and during these difficult times we are operating as an ‘essential business’ and we continue to stand ready to serve your needs. Health and safety practices are nothing new to us and have always been of utmost importance in delivering a high level of service, second to none.
We have all been affected by the recent changes due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we therefore extend our gratitude and appreciation to the health care community for all they are doing now to protect us, this too shall pass. However in the midst of this pandemic, we remain steadfast and your safety remains paramount. We will therefore continue to support our valued friends and families, during a time of loss. We certainly appreciate you choosing us to partner with you during this time.
Please see below for important community updates and more information regarding our live streaming options and help planning funeral arrangements.
Community Updates as of Sunday, 29th August, 2021, Lyndhurst funerals will be limited to 25 mourners or less, including funeral homes, gravesites and churches.
Live streaming at funerals is also available, we encourage you to contact us for more information. With the above restriction in place it serves well for loved ones to view the service from the comfort of their homes both here and abroad.
Visiting our office
While the COVID-19 virus has required all of us to be more mindful as we go through our regular activities, rest assured that our office is clean and safe. Even before this crisis we maintained health and safety measures designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses. Now this includes COVID-19. Our protocols cover everything from handwashing hygiene, cleaning product specifications, ventilation, equipment and common area cleaning procedures. Even though our office remains open, where possible please call first for an appointment at 1 (246) 426-4170.
Lyndhurst has always implemented the latest technologies for the convenience of families we serve. We have made live streaming and recording of services available to families as an option (complimentary during this time) and the ability to support families via obituaries on our website.
Funerals are important. Recognizing loss is a human instinct and it is important to recognize that we must facilitate beginning the healing process. Please make an extra effort to support those that have lost a loved one during this unusual time. Your support is more important than ever with the added stress of these extraordinary circumstances.
Making Funeral Arrangements
We are making it easier for you to partner with us in making funeral arrangements therefore as an essential business we are providing a concierge service where we will bring documents to you for signature or you may visit the office to sign documents, we are here to serve you. We will also use technological tools and resources such as video conferencing (Skype, etc) to assist you. Every situation can and will be accommodated to ensure the arrangements for the care of your loved one and ensure your wishes are followed.
Thank You
The loss of a loved one whether spouse, friend, sibling, parent, child or work colleague is never easy—and we are very aware that these unsettling times can amplify feelings of grief and anxiety.
