Joan Maynard née Douglas

We announce with deep sadness the passing of 86-year-old Joan Maynard née Douglas, fondly known as Ma Maynard, beloved wife of the late Hon. Charles Maynard. She died peacefully on Monday, August 25^th, 2025, at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.

She will be lovingly remembered by:

Children: Carl, Annmarie and Yvonne Maynard

Grandchildren: Shanice Lazare and Durelle Maynard

Great-grandchild: Sjaelan Watt

Daughter-in-law: Martha Loblack-Maynard

The body of the late Joan Maynard née Douglas will leave for viewing at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13^th, 2025. Interment follows at the Roseau Roman Catholic Cemetery.
