Bernadette Leon Bruno nee Jno Charles

We announce the death of 87-year-old Bernadette Leon Bruno nee Jno Charles, better known as Ma Layon of Salisbury. She died on the 24^th of October 2025.

She will be remembered by:

1 son: Kenneth Jno Charles in the United Kingdom

1 daughter: Sharon Verilyn Charles in the United Kingdom

4 brothers: Skelvin and Philbert in the UK, Robert in the USA and Alwin Bruno in Dominica.

3 sisters: Lucy Bruno James, Matilda Vidal and Elian Bruno in the USA

3 brothers-in-law: Reno Underwood, Glauster Vidal in the USA, and Benoit James in the USA

1 sister-in-law: Majorie Bruno in Tortola

6 grandchildren: Marcus, Christopher, Danielle, Sherice, Michelle, Rhea, and Cameron, all in the United Kingdom.

7 great-grandchildren: Malacai, Jolie, Chrisshelle, Shiya, Ryo, Lyra and Marly in the United Kingdom.

Numerous nieces and nephews including Otis, Zecky, Neall, Imran, Zaire, Dhalia, Audrie, Petula, Ecklyn, Jimmy, Edlyn, Demmington, Kerwin and Ananias.

Closest friend: Elizabeth Underwood.

The body of the late Bernadette Bruno nee Jno Charles will be transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home for viewing at 2:00pm at the Salisbury Catholic Church on Monday 17^th November 2025. Funeral Mass begins at 2:30pm followed by interment at the Salisbury Catholic Cemetery.
