Gertrude Roberts

It is with Profound Sadness That we announce the death of: Mrs. Gertrude Roberts, better known as Teacher Gertrude, former Parliamentary Representative of the Morne Jaune /Rivere Cyrique Constituency

She died at her residence in Grand Fond on Wednesday, 6^th November 2019.

She was 92.

She lives to mourn six children: Gweneth Roberts,  Brendalyn Nibbs and Brenda Joseph in New York, and Bertillia Cuffy, Gretta & Brian Roberts, in Dominica.

She was the adopted mother of: Cuthbert Jones in New York, Herbert Shaw in Canada, Larry Matthew in Miami and Austin Pascal, Moriah Esprit and Nathan Samuel in Dominica.

Sister: Veronica McMaster

Brother: Anselm Jno. Baptiste in England

She was also the step mother of: Cecilia and Reynold Roberts in Dominica

 She will be sadly missed by her

Grandchildren: Dana Labad; Madison and Duane Cuffy, Omari & Soyini Nibbs; Anthony & Brandon Joseph and Ayanna Evans-Blake in New York and Dhanelle Cuffy in Dominica.

Great Grandchildren: Isaac & William Nance; Alana & Sasha Cuffy; Naima, Naila, Noria, Nasir and Niola Cuffy and Penelope & Zhuri Blake in New York and Kari Cadette in Dominica.

Daughter in law:  Edith Thomas Roberts

Sons in law: Lynworth Cuffy in Dominica & Phillip Thomas in Atlanta

The body of the late Gertrude Roberts, better known as Teacher Gertrude, former Parliamentary Representative of the Morne Jaune /Rivere Cyrique Constituency can be viewed from 9:30 am on Saturday November 23, 2019 at the Grandfond Roman Catholic Church. The funeral mass takes place at 10:30 am. Followed by interment at the Rosalie Roman Catholic Cemetery.
