Frank Grant

FRANK OSBOURNE GRANT, aged 86, of Gemswick, St. Philip and formerly of Boston, Massachusetts, entered into rest on September 11, 2025. He will be fondly remembered for his dedication as a skilled mechanic having worked for over 30 years at Toyota of Boston before establishing his own garage at his home. Upon returning to Barbados, Frank reconnected with his military roots, proudly serving as a Legionnaire and was a former member of The Barbados Regiment. A familiar face at Miami Beach, he was an avid beachgoer who cherished the friendships he built with both locals and returning nationals.
Devoted son of Edna Grant and James Griffith.
Beloved father of Rossanna Grant, Suzette Bryan (Leroy) and Mark Fraser (all of the USA).
Grandfather of Bianca, Taaron and Tyrell Grant, Amare and Arianna Fraser (USA).
Great-grandfather of Taurie Grant (USA).
Uncle of Melanie Grant (UK).
Great-uncle of Maisie Grant (UK).
Cousin of Cyrilene Roachford (USA), Rosslyn Alleyne (Winsley) and Chyrel King as well as other extended family members.
Special friend of Pauline Holder – her daughter Gabriella and grandsons Maliq, Mekhi and Thierry.
Friend of Edmund Holder, Ian McIntosh (Sandra), Rodney Franklin, Frank Deane, Erskin Welch, Rev. Pierson Scantlebury and members of Overcomers Church of God in Christ, Lisa Joseph, Kay Carter-Downes, longtime buddies “Butch” Coleman, Reginald Greaves (Diane) and many more.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at St. Matthias Anglican Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to The Military Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The body of the late Frank Grant will repose in The Main Guard and Clock Tower, The Garrison, St. Michael on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
