David McDonald Payne

DAVID McDONALD PAYNE, aged 74, of 29 Tranquility Drive, Greenpoint, St. Philip and formerly of Dayrell’s Road, Christ Church, entered into rest on January 6, 2026. Retired Sergeant 786 of the Royal Barbados Police Force (Barbados Police Service).

Son of the late Stanton and Kathleen Payne.
Brother of Harriett Proverbs, Jacqueline and Adrian Payne and the late Judy Proverbs and Selwin Payne.
Uncle of Trudi Proverbs and Zoe Payne.
Cousin of Superintendent Dale Crichlow, Neville, Lisa Payne and many others.
Godfather of Neil Barrow (USA).
Relative of the Payne, Proverbs and Bynoe families.
Friend of Cynthia King, Margo Durant, Harriette Griffith, Anthony Lloyd and Patricia Alleyne.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at The St. Matthias Anglican Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. No flowers by special request. A donation will be collected for the St. Matthias Building and Organ Fund.
