ANTHONY GARNETT GITTENS, affectionately known as “Heads” aged 78 of First Choice Senior Citizens Home and Daycare, formerly of Browne’s Gap Rockley, Christ Church. Retired employee of Carters Fisherman’s Corner.
Son of the late Crofton Gittens and Agnes Bancroft. Brother of Mary Goddard, Angela Rodrigues (Raphael) and the late Michael and Mark Gittens. Uncle of Donna and Lynn Goddard and Lisa Daly. Great-uncle of three. Friend of Robert King, James Gibbs, Godfrey Savoury, Steve Burke and many others too numerous to mention. Special thanks to the Management and Staff of First Choice Senior Citizens Home and Daycare, Dr Khatija Mangera and Dr Nekeisha Griffith. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at the Chapel of Coral Ridge where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. No mourning colors by special request. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral will be graciously accepted.
