It is with the deepest of hearts we announce the passing of STEVEN LAWRENCE, affectionately known as “Lawrence” of Cottage Crescent, St. George, entered peacefully into rest at the age of 66 years.

Uncle to Steve Williams, Kelly and Crisante Lawrence, Diana Gumbs, Ninoska, Tamisha, and Tina Lambert, and many others.
Dearest friend to Manilla Renée.
Long-time friend to Vanda and Leroi Moore, Mr. Osmonde Douglas, Floyd Greene, Heather Scott, Deborah Barrow, and many others.
Relative of the Lambert and Biscette families from St. Lucia and the Shury family.

“Lawrence” lived with a deep appreciation for life’s mystery, guided more by spirituality than by doctrine. He held a quiet sense that life was part of something larger than us. While his physical presence is no longer with us, we take comfort in believing that his essence has simply moved beyond the visible world, continuing its journey in a greater realm of peace and God’s eternal love. His spirit, curiosity, and kindness remain alive in the memories he leaves behind and in the many lives he touched along the way.

A service to celebrate the transition of Steven Lawrence will take place on Thursday April 23, 2026, at the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Memorial Garden at 10:00 a.m. followed by the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.
