SAMUEL SILVAS CALLENDER, known to many as “Sammy” aged 70, of Thomas Gap, President Kennedy Drive, St. Michael and formerly of Emmerton Lane, St. Michael, entered into rest on May 08, 2026.
Son of Isabelle Foster and the late Standly Foster.
Brother of Maureen, Lynda and Lolita Callender, Winston Jemmott, Coral and June Cummins and the late Winston Callender and Shirley Carter. Companion of Michelle Jordan.
Uncle of Teasley, Ryan, Alex and Kim Callender, Sakina Greenidge and the late Nigel, Kathyann, Simeon and Daniel Callender.
Great-uncle of many.
Cousin of many.
Friend of many.
Relative of the Foster, Cummins, Carter and Gill families.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at The Chapel of Coral Ridge, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Cassia Lawns for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The body of the late Samuel Callender will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
