CARL O’NEAL PROVERBS, aged 75, of 11 Drax Hall Hope, St. George, entered peacefully into rest on June 6, 2026. Retired contractor. Member of Truth for the Final Generation Adventist congregation.
Son of Florence and Belfield Proverbs. Devoted husband of Carmeta Proverbs (deceased). Father of Astrid Proverbs-Remy, Andria Catlyn and Dwight Proverbs. Brother of Samuel Gay (deceased) and Slyvester Johnson nee Proverbs. Stepfather of Linda Catlyn. Father-in-law of Anthony Remy. Grandfather of Mariah and Tashawna Catlyn, Serenity Proverbs and Amiya Prescod. Great-grandfather of Rha’niyah and Kalea Catlyn. Uncle of Monica, Chris (deceased), Charles, Jefferson and Theresa. Resident and friend of the Achazia Retirement Home.
A memorial service will be held on Friday July 17, 2026 at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The body of the late Carl Proverbs will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday July 15, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
