Leroy Payne

LEROY PAYNE, aged 83, of Parish Land, Christ Church, entered into rest on August 12, 2026.

Son of the late Errol Cater and Enid Yarde née Payne. Father of Andrea and Chole Payne. Brother of Carlisle Payne, Monica, Emmerson, Courtney, Sylvester, Marcia, John and Sandra Yarde and the late Cynthia Grandison and Lewis Payne. Uncle of Brian, Lewis, Karen, Aisha, Yinka and Ashley (USA), Brianna (Canada), John, Jermaine, DaCosta, Owen, Junior, Troy, Jerry, Arturo, Rascelle, Delano, Ronaldo, Mona, Tamara, Makesha, Zeona, Shamika, Sade, Aishatu, Kinitia, Onifa, Rakiya, the late Michael Yarde and Dwayne Howard and others. Great uncle of many. Cousin of Edward and Chris Payne and family and many others. Relative of the Payne, Carter and Yarde families. Friend of the Drax Hall and Parish Land Communities and others too numerous to mention. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Church of God of Prophecy, Water Street, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:30 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Christ Church cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The body of the late Leroy Payne will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
