aged 89 of Sturges, St. Thomas entered into rest on August 11, 2026. Retired Senior Lecturer of Spanish at University of the West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill, former Head of the Department of French and Spanish (UWI), former Campus Dean of the Faculty of Arts and General Studies (UWI), and a former active member of the Barbados Bridge League.
Son of the late Anthony and Molly Hollingsworth.
Husband of Olga Angela Hollingsworth.
Father of Anthony and Roger Hollingsworth.
Grandfather of Theodore Hollingsworth.
Brother of the late Ann Evans.
Brother-in-law of the late Michael Evans.
Uncle of Caroline, Susan, Jane and Gillian of the Evans family.
Cousin of Lynn Holman and the Quiney family.
Relative of the Bell and Allsopp families.
Friend of Ian Craig, Victor Simpson, Roglyn Hinds and others from the Barbados Bridge League.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the Chapel of Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. No flowers by special request. The family invites you to view the live streaming of the service
