I first came into contact with Canon Jones as one of the more respected teachers at Harrison College. As an Anglican, I followed his ministry in the church, and realised what a treasure he was. To Geoffrey and Heather, Angela and the rest of the family I offer the sincere condolences of my family. May he rest in peace and rise in glory

My family started to worship at CH CH PARISH CH, about the same time I entered Harrison College in 1962.So he was first my priest, and then he taught me English for 2 years. To us boys, he was always friendly, kind and pleasant, and above all things a great encourager! He was humorous and loving as well.
In later we would watch first class cricket as members of the BCA in the George Chaneloor Stand. I shall always remember our last conversation in 2003 before I emigrated, when we discussed the book of Romans, and when we agreed heartily that none of the readers in the local media would ever be allowed to read aloud in his English classes. He was definitely one of my very favorite persons.

These condolences are from the family of my brother, Dr. Sir Courtney Blackman, who taught at Harrison College at the same time as the Canon. And from my own family since the Canon (then โRev. Jones") taught me at that same time at Harrison College.
May he Rest in Peace.

Geoffrey, Valerie and Angela, I am honored and blessed to have known your father Rev. Ivor Jones. He taught me the good stuff and paved a way for me at Harrison College. He would always remember my name with a smile.especially when he visited St Lawrence church . Your father will be terribly missed. He was loved by all of us and he will be cherished in our memories forever. Condolences from ....
