Hello, I'm Benicio Warwick Khan, son of Bryan Ashmead Khan. I'm incredibly sorry to hear about my father's passing.I've been living in Brazil since I was 10 years old, and I have only managed to enter in contact with my father twice during my stay here. Every time, I was either put on hold or hung up on. I was notified only today that he died, because it's been desporadic payments on my child support and my grandmother decided to intervene and call once again. I would like to thank Ms. Yvonne, for telling her the truth. Neither of my aunts thought it necessary to ensure that I would be able to say goodbye. Even though my maternal grandmother had called around the time of his death. She was not informed until today. I wasn't even given a mention in his obituary. They act as if they didn't know that he had a child, even though they are responsible for paying my child support when the month comes, at the Holetown Magistrates Court. They still owe 10 months of child support. I cannot be blamed for being an unfilial son, if they neglected to allow me to pay homage. Here's my email, if anyone wants to get in contact with me: beniciokhan@gmail.com.

To all the family and friends of Bryan . I have not seen or contacted Bryan since he left University over around 25 years ago but when I heard from a friend of his passing I was shocked. When I logged on to read his obituary and saw his picture it deeply saddened me. My encounter with Bryan was short and sweet. As I was nervous for my son settling into university it brought back my own memories of being nervous when I joined Warwick . Bryan and one other student who were in the 3rd year came to speak to us all to welcome us and reassure us that we would be fine and they were always there to help us. He was a vibrant personality. I never knew if he married or had children and would love to pass on my condolences to his wife and children and hope he had children to leave a legacy behind of his amazing personality and charisma. I hope he finds his way to heaven and pray that all those that all of those who were close to him will be reunited in heaven (Ameen). Please could someone email me to let me know his children if any have received my message as it would be so nice for them to know how much he is being remembered by so many people they might not be aware of.

Dear Bonita, AnneMarie and Family:
We felt deep sorrow when we heard of the news of Brian's passing. Words cannot express our sadness. We have so many memories of Brian in our university years. He had a curious and bright mind, ready for a debate and enjoyed adventures.
"Some people come into our lives,
Leave footprints
And we're never the same."
We pray that the love of family and friends will give you strength in the days ahead.
With love and sympathy,
Glen and Meeling Nivet

'Ubuntu' I am because We are standing on the foundation built by Social Worker Legends. Much of today is being built on COVID 19. It has caused much delayed grief, new funeral arrangements and new fears to enter a funeral home or to touch a loved one.
