I had the pleasure of working with Keith at the Earth Station. He despised many things about Cable and Wireless but no one worked harder and more dedicated than he. He was the consummate professional. He set extremely high standards for himself and expected others to follow suit, He had this insatiable appetite for knowledge. Everything he did was well thought out before execution. You should see how he signed his name. Very slow and deliberate and every letter had to be perfect. He never dressed casual except if had to drop in at work during the night. I understand that at high school he competed with the late great Dr. Ester Archer and on one occasion he destroyed an exam because she had beaten him, although he got in the 90s. A lot of persons had difficulty dealing with Keith. They preferred to avoid him at all cost. He was a straight arrow and would tell you to your face what he had to tell you whether pleasant or unpleasant, but he held no grudges and would turn the page. I enjoyed my time working with him and would add that I learned a few things from him that made me a better professional. The last time I saw him would be about 20 years ago at Farley Hill. He was there with his new wife. We had a great conversation. I told him that I wished he had come to Canada, since I knew that would have done very well. He was now driving and had become a Christian. I sensed that he was happy, like a great burden had been lifted off his shoulders. May he RIP and RIG.

We remember the life of Keith Michael Belgrave, born on June 14th ,1939 to Cynthia Clarinda Belgrave and Walter Westerford Jordan Phillips. For over eight decades, he wore several hats. He was a champion of underdogs, a giver, an adventurer, a storyteller, a world class and quality driven B.E.T and Cable & Wireless engineer, an advisor, an academic, the faithful prayer warrior, a father, and a husband.
He is survived by his wife Sybil Christil Belgrave.
His 7 children; Marianne Carrington, Jacqueline Warner, Keith Belgrave (Jr), Michelle Belgrave, Gabrielle Belgrave-Holder, Kaye Belgrave, and Shawn Holder (son-in-law).
His grandchildren; Jeffrey Belgrave, Jeremy Belgrave, Johnathan Alleyne, Tiffany Carrington, Andrew Carrington, and Gabrielle Carrington.
Friend and mentor of many!
A private memorial service was held by his family and he was laid to eternal rest in Westbury Cemetery, St Michael.
Our family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this period of bereavement.
