LAYNE – JOHNATHAN OSCAR, better known as John, aged 69, of Glebe Land, St. George entered into rest on April 14, 2023. Retired worker of the Ministry of Education/Bayley’s Primary school.
Son of the late Glovenia and Morton Layne of Church Village, St. Philip and Farm Garden St. Philip.
Brother of Valdean Layne-Humphrey and Coradean Layne.
Uncle of Rosetta Layne-Harewood, Peter Brathwaite, Dave Humphrey, Ruthfean and Andrea Brathwaite, Sabrina Young, Sasha Harewood, Christina Stoute and Cya Layne.
Great uncle of Mario, Roshonna and Jaden Brathwaite and David and Samuel Humphrey.
Relative of the Cumberbatch, Lawrence and Henderson families of Bermuda, St.Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Tortola,
Dr. Sydney Hughes (USA, Attorney at Law) and Joseph Hughes (USA)
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge memorial gardens for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
