CUMBERBATCH NÉE WALKES – CYNTHIA (CYNTY) ELFREDA, aged 82, of Farmers, St. Thomas and formerly of Belleplaine, St Andrew entered into rest on December 17, 2023. Daughter of the late Edmund and Eilene (Meta) Walkes. Widow of Adolphus (Ralph) Cumberbatch. Dear mother of Margaret, Sherry-Ann and Terry (deceased). Grandmother of Kendra, Jelahni, Kadeen, Jadiah, Deanndra, Jalyn, Kareena, Kyra and Shonnie. Great-grandmother of Mikelah, Maleek, Makai, Dazaria, Keary and Kayah. Sister of Frederick, Marion, Asenath, Mary, Gervis (John), Patrick and the late Winston, Eunice and Anderson. Mother-in-law of Wayne. Aunt, cousin, sister-in-law and friend of many. Relative of the Walkes, Vaughan, Morson, Holder, Holligan, Clarke, Williams, Rock and Goodridge families. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at The Jackson Seventh-day Adventist Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to St. Andrew Parish Church for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
