ANITA PROVERBS, aged 84 of Brighton, Black Rock, St. Michael, retired Supervisor in the Property Department of United Insurance and faithful member of James Street Methodist Church. Entered into rest on Thursday, February 8th 2024. We give God thanks for the time you were here on earth with us and pray your rest will be a peaceful one.
Loving wife of Glyne Proverbs.
Mother of John Proverbs, Stephen Proverbs and the late Mark Downie
Grandmother of Renรฉe Proverbs, Ray-Allan Proverbs, Rachele Proverbs, Shani King, Anya Proverbs, Kai Proverbs.
Great-Grandmother of Jasmine Davis, Caleb Layne, Baby Davis.
Sister of the late Millicent Bloomer (of the UK).
Niece to Clarence Highland, Fred Highland, Rufus Highland, Elmer Highland.
Mother-in-law of Timmi King-Proverbs.
Mum to Jean Proverbs.
Relative of Downie, Highland, Chandler, Bernstein and Grant Families.
Friend of Phyllis Highland, Barbara Wallace, Deborah Graeme, Dianne Foster, The Toppin Family, Cheryl Webster, The Roberts Family, Doreen Bailey, Jackie Gajadhar, The United Family and many others too numerous to mention.
Special Thanks to the team at SILS Dialysis and all doctors who were involved in her life. The life of Anita Proverbs will be celebrated in a Thanksgiving service Friday, February 23, 2024 at James Street Methodist Church, Bridgetown where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, Christ Church. Her body will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel of Lyndhurst Thursday, February 22nd from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Wreaths may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 8:00 a.m. on Friday.

Dearest Glyne, Stephen, John please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your dear wife & mum Anita. An amazing and funny woman with a heart of gold, who loved her family dearly. She is loved and will be missed. May she Rest in Peace. Love Sue & family

What an absolutely lovely person who will be missed by all who knew her. I was lucky enough to see her in November when my mother and I visited from Toronto.
