Daughter of Irvin and the late Muriel Harewood. Wife of Hurbert “Boxer” Layne . Mother of Tara and Tiana Harewood. Grandmother of J’Shawn and many others. Sister of Ann (JP), Ordeen, Juliet and Isaac (USA), Carlos (NHC) and Sherry Ann Harewood (BWA). Aunt of Vida King, Tricia King-Kellman, Christina Clarke (BDF) and many others. Cousin of Phyllis Fagan, Lennox and David (USA) Harewood, Winston Griffith, Idalia Damas, Wendy Smith, Maureen Gittens, Sherion Jones, Suzette, and Loreen Harding, Yvette King and many others. Great-Aunt of Tristan King (FCIB). Relative of the Licorish, King, Rawlins, Brookers, Dyall, Jones, Harding, Vaughn and Smith families. Friend of Maxine London, Lanette Napoleon-Young, Adrian Greene, Andrea Codrington, Tyrone Kellman and Staff of the National Housing Corporation.
A service of thanksgiving for the life of Charmaine Layne will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at St. Stephen Anglican Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. for the service. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens for the interment. Tributes will begin at 1:30 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 12 noon on Wednesday. No mourning colours by special request. The body of the late Charmaine Layne neé Harewood will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
