DAVID ANTHONY JEROME HOLFORD, aged 82, of No. 6 Lodge Hill Wood, Lodge Hill, St. Michael, entered peacefully into rest on May 30, 2022. Founding Member of the Cricket Legends of Barbados, Captain of the Barbados Cricket Team in the 1970’s and Former Captain and President of the Spartan Cricket Club.
Son of the late Leon and Enid Holford.
Beloved Husband of Marva.
Father of Marc Anthony.
Grandfather of David Eduardo.
Brother of Joan Leslie, Kenneth, Michael and the late Patricia Holford (all of Canada).
Brother-in-law of Joan and Myrna Holford (both of Canada), Patricia Taitt and Wendy Yarde (both of the USA).
Father-in-law of Yomahira Sinclair (Panama).
Cousin of The Right Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers, Cecil Sobers and Elise Crane (USA).
Uncle of Ingrid, Kay, David, Richard, Kenny and Kevin (all of Canada), Carol (Bermuda) and June.
The funeral service for the late David Anthony Jerome Holford will take place on Thursday, June 09, 2022 at the Chapel at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m., followed by the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home, no later than 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Cricket Legends of Barbados, Fontabelle, St. Michael, on Wednesday, June 08, 2022 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
