Denis and I worked in the Credit Ins and Guarantees Department when the Bank employees were housed in separate locations and prior to the completion of the now Central Bank of Barbados' headquarters on Spry Street.
Staff located in Barnes Building were known aa "Barnes Stars". At the end of a day's and week's work staff would all congregate in the back of the building to play table tennis, dominoes, card games, darts and wind down. His love was darts.

Denis was somewhat of an introvert and displayed a very quiet persona. Despite that he enjoyed a hearty laugh. His work surroundings were always in an orderly state: everything in its place!!

His children were young then and in primary school and as a parent he would be delighted to share positive stories of their progress with us his Barnes colleagues.

To his sorrowing relatives and his children Kirk and Natalie whom i knew when they were in primary school, my sincere condolences

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
