Sec. and past President of the Barbados Cancer Society, Former Council Member of Barbados Family Planning Association, Former Director, Barbados RSPCA, Former Lecturer at Barbados Community College, Former Headmistress of St. Winifred’s School, Former teacher at Queen’s College, Harrison College and The Lodge School, Former Executive Secretary of the National Organization of Women, Former member of Royal Commonwealth Society.
Daughter of the late Herbert and May Cooke (UK).
Widow of Peter Cooke-Johnson.
Mother of Christopher Cooke-Johnson.
Grandmother of Ayden and Kai Cooke-Johnson.
Mother-in-law of Sophie Edghill.
Sister-in-law of Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret, Ambrose, George and Rayn Johnson.
Aunt of Isabelle Goodman, Joanna Nixon, Melanie Edghill, Bridget Sibble and Michael Johnson (both of Canada), Jeremy Edghill (Australia), Elaine Dodd (UK) and Paul White (New Zealand).
Friend of many.
Supporter of all.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, September 01, 2022 at St. Peter Parish Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:30 p.m. for the service, followed by the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Barbados Cancer Society will graciously be accepted. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
