GRANT – DOROTHY AUGUSTA, affectionately known as “Ma Ma” or “Sis Sis”, age 97, of Bagatelle Gardens, St. Thomas and formerly of Airy Hill, St. George, entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2023. Daughter of Alma and Stanley Smart. Mother of Elaine and Henderson Grant. Grandmother of Estaol Grant, Adrian and Shontelle Waithe and Jenelle Jemmott. Great-grandmother of Shakeel, Shonique and Shaniya Grant, Keshon, Rashon and Jashon Waithe. Sister of Cordelle Harris, Lorraine Griffith, Driver 773 “Lynal” Smart, Earlyne Walrond, the late Milicent Best, Harry, Kenneth, Darnley, Clyde “Rat-la” Smart and Cynthia Price (Bahamas). Aunt of Maureen, Cirleen, Martin, Emmerson and Joshua Smart, Wayne, Angela, Andrew and Andy Walrond, Diana Grant, Marcia Patterson, Oscar, Ronald, Pam and Pinky Best, the late Alvin Smart, Reginald Best and many more. Great-aunt of many. Mother in-law of Frank Russell, Wendy Waithe and Pamela Grant. Sister in-law of Keith Griffith. Relative of the Grant, Adams and Smart Family. Friend of many. A service of thanksgiving for the life of Dorothy Grant will take place on Monday, May 22, 2023 at St. George Parish Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:30 p.m. followed by interment. Mourning colours are optional. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
