Following the life of service and witness, EARTHA THORNE, aged 59, of Dalkeith, St. Michael, was called home to eternal rest on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Daughter of Winston and the late Gladys Walrond. Step-daughter of Preta. Estranged wife of Wayne Thorne. Beloved mother of Sashi. Sister of Stewart, Mark, Jennifer, Edris, Donnette, Clairmont, Wendell, Michelle, Petal and Blossom. Sister-in-law of Janet, Cheryl, Catherine, Life, Roger, Arleigh, Maria, Roger and Deborah. Niece of Henrietta. Close friend of Andrew, Jane and many others. The funeral leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 for The People’s Cathedral, Bishop’s Court Hill, St. Michael, where relatives and friends are invited to share in a service of Thanksgiving in Celebration of her life and ministry at 1:30 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Christ Church Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home, no later than 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and/or donations to Cancer Support Services would be graciously accepted. Mourning colours are optional.
