Eddie and I met when we were students at the London School of Economics in the 1960s. We spent many hours in my flat at Maida Vale, London, studying and discussing the issues of the day. After graduation, I migrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1968, and renewed our friendship when he started studying for his masters degree in economics, at the University of Toronto.

Eddie was a kind, funny, and very intelligent man, and a cherished friend. I will miss him very much. May his soul rest in peace!!
