ELVIRA GWENDOLYN SHEPHERD, aged 79, of 208 3 Swift Drive, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and formerly of Fitts Village St. James. September 4, 1945 – June 4, 2025.

Beloved daughter of the late Dorothy and Mortimer Shepherd. Niece of Cynthia Goncales (Antonio), the late Isadora White and Alphonso White. Cousin of Joan Power. Relative to the Weekes, Reece, Burnett, Prescod, Ward, Browne, Piggott and Forde families. Former member of the Payne’s Bay Methodist Church, Paynes Bay, St James.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on, Friday, July 4, 2025, at Paynes Bay Methodist Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to St. James Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The body of the late Elvira Shepherd will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
