My sympathy on Ericโs passing. Although I didnโt know him for that long, I found him to be a down to earth, sincere person.
He was like a big brother/mentor to me. Always giving sound advice if asked. Often quick to correct/guide me in instances when I didnโt ask. Or even realise it was needed!
He was VERY dedicated to his running and fitness overall. I was really too busy with work to join him on at least one!
I was very surprised that he has passed. But I still have his advice and cherry demeanor to remember him by
Farewell for now Eric Sir. Until we meet again.

To Eric's family
Please accept my sympathy on the passing of Eric. We were at Cave Hill, UWI together and I spoke to him in the last week of August, so his death came as quite a shock.
He worked with my late husband Chaddie at Intel .
His devotion to keeping fit is to be admired. I will miss making contact with him whenever I visited Barbados .
Losing a relative is not easy and I trust that you will be able to cope.

Eric Clarke and his fellow Richmond School buddies were my first introduction to Barbados when I entered Cave Hill campus UWI in 1968. I attended many Richmond events and went hiking into a quarry in St. Thomas long before it became a tourist feature. My first Christmas we spent visiting various brams and then snacking on some Gwen Workman leadpipes and mauby and swimming in the "hot tub" near the hydro company exhaust in the sea at Bay St. We hiked up to Chalky Mountain then walked down the side of the hill to East Coast Main Road to catch the Rocklyn bus....Through it all he was a reliable and constant friend. We argued about history and politics ....I met his mother and brother and was proud to have known him, Just a few weeks ago we were discussing online some recent events. He was a real down to earth Bajan who never forgot his roots. May he rest in the peace he so richly deserves. LEROY A. CROSSE, Toronto, Canada
