ESME ZIPPORAH LAYNE, aged 88, late of Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church, entered peacefully into rest on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Daughter of late Oliver and Rosalee Archer.
Mother of Randolph Archer, Angela Wilson, Cynthia Halverson, Claudette, Alfred Jr., Reynold, Lavonda and Fadelma Layne.
Grandmother of Regina, Philip, Alexandria, Nicole, John Efrem (dec’d), Justin, Margretta, Rondell, Rawle, Ryan, Lydia, Stacia, Levar, Kaydeesha, Khia, Rayne, Kemal, Nathan and Brittany.
Great- grandmother of many.
Sister of the late Maurice Jackman, Winston and Seon Archer and Alda Forde.
Aunt of many.
Relative of the Jackman, Archer and Layne families.
Special friend of Marva Bourne, Norma Wiltshire, Jean Ashby and Mr. Ellis.
Other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 p.m. for the service followed by the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
