JOHN – ESTHER, aged 67, late of #28 Sayers Court, Christ Church, entered into rest on July 7, 2023. Mother of Derick and Glenroy John, Caress Lettine and Sallyann Lewis. Mother-in-law of Otis Lewis. Grandmother of Niron Smith, Daniel and Julian John, Kayla Lewis, Darius Holcomb, Olivea Lewis, Otis Lewis Jr and Emmanuel Lewis. Sister of Nellie McDonald. Aunt of Philmore John, Rohan Letang, Paul and Fred John, Arlene Charles, Nicole McClean, Nisa Chicondo and Jalisa Nanton. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will take place on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Pilgrim Road Seventh-day Adventist Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Christ Church Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The body of the late Esther John will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

My Dear Mom I’m broken that you have left us so soon. I am sorry that I can’t be there with Sally and Derick and other families and your friends to lay you to rest. Since you’ve passed I can’t seem to get myself together My tears overwhelmed me so many days. I thank God for our Cousin Orna and StayAnn, and Lesa, without then comforting me I more of a mess than I am right now. Mommy I feel I was stolen from you but this is not the place to speak of that. I speak to you Daily knowing that you’ve ascended to a Higher Realm than this Earth that you have bought me into. As I write to you this message I am in tears, But I know that you’re sleeping for all eternity. I Love you so much Mommy, Thanks very much for everything that you have done for me and my sister and two brothers. I will always Love you , So you rest now until we meet again.
