WILKINSON – GILBERT WARRINGTON, better known as “Wilkie”, aged 91, of #8 Perfection Road, Bush Hall, St. Michael, entered into rest on June 11, 2017.
Beloved Husband of the late Elease Wilkinson. Cherished Father of Vita Wilkinson, Marva Prescod, Marcia Scott, Maxine King and the late Lorraine Griffith. Grandfather of Randolph Griffith, Donna Grant, Antoinette Headley and Sueann Drayton (Canada), Junior Wilkinson, Catherine, Troy, St. Clair and Ervin Griffith (U.S.A.), Anthony Griffith (Royal Barbados Police Force), Neville Griffith (Transport Board), Stephen (RAS Enterprise), Jacqueline, Diana Griffith (Barbados Library Service), Kathy-Ann, Shevon Griffith (Drainage Division), Richard Griffith, Susanne Wilkinson-Harris (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth), Tamisha Forde (Turtle Beach Hotel) and Curtis Hurley. Great Grandfather of 66. Great-Great Grandfather of 15. Father-in-law of St. Clair “Orrie” Prescod. Brother-in-law of Dorothy Greaves, Beresford and Evelyn Griffith. Uncle of Joyce, Jeffrey and Junior Wilkinson. Relative of the Wilkinson and Slocombe families.
The funeral leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Thursday, June 22, 2017, for Shalem Evangelical Church, Bush Hall Yard Gap, St. Michael, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. for the service. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The body of the late Gilbert Warrington Wilkinson will repose in The Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
