DEANE – GRANTLEY WILLIAM, also known as “Doc”, age 82, of Todds Land, St. George, entered into rest on Sunday October 26, 2025. Retired employee of JB’s Master Mart and an avid horse racing fan.

Son of the late St. Clair and Pearl Prescott.
Father of Anderson Godding, Beverley Payne, Sade Deane and the late Tonia Godding.
Grandfather of Annemarie Godding-John (USA) and Devon Inniss.
Great-grandfather of Selwyn Thorne (USA).

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:30 p.m. followed by the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mourning colours are optional. The body of the late Grantley Deane will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
