Over thirty years ago I met Gwen Millar at our place of employment, then Barbados Port Authority now Barbados Port Inc. A lady in every sense, she was always professional, eager to assist and to offer guidance.

Her poise sense of occasion, elegance and efficiency is a legacy that would do well for most professionals entering the field of work. After retirement and as she managed her health challenges, her inner strength and dignity really shined brightest.

We at the Port will all miss her laugh and general good nature. On behalf of the Management and staff of the Terminal Operations Department of the BPI, to her family and friends we offer our sincere condolences and prayers.

May she Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory.

As a former member of the Barbados Association of Office Professionals (BAOP), I always observed Gwen to be calm, decisive, yet friendly. While holding the office of president, Gwen commanded the respect of the membership by her demeanour and general conduct. I had nothing but respect for her. To her family and friends, I offer my deepest condolences, but be comforted in the knowledge that at last, she is at peace and at rest.
