HARRIETTE MARVENE CLARKE, of Cane Garden, St. Thomas entered in rest on May 22, 2026. Former Barbados National hockey player. A dedicated educator of the Christ Church Foundation School for many years and member of the St. George Secondary Old Scholars’ Association. She was a lifelong advocate of education and personal growth, earning her Master’s degree from The University of the West Indies. She was also a Director of The Precious Touch Foundation.
Beloved wife of H.E. Gline Clarke, High Commissioner of Barbados to Canada.
Devoted mother of Barry and Brian Clarke.
Proud and loving grandmother of Dominic, Ezra, Shylah, and Sanaa.
Daughter of the late Harcourt and Cynthia Headley.
Cherished sister of Marion Taylor, Wendy Odwin, David and Cortez Headley,the late Ronald McCollin, Margo Bovelle, Ricardo Headley, and Carmeta Alleyne.
Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Ferica Headley, Michelle Watson, Taylor-Rae Headley, Ashley Headley, Ranata Odwin, Shaquille Odwin, Andrea Taylor, Paul Watson, Roger Headley, Craig and Derek Headley, Jaleesa Bartholomew, Alicia Ashley and Harcourt Headley, Shamar Headley, Dale Taylor, Tia Welch, as well as other nieces and nephews.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2026 at the chapel of Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Precious Touch Foundation would be graciously accepted. No mourning colours by special request.
