JANICE AVRILLE CUMBERBATCH, affectionately known as “Jan”, age 66, of Melvin’s Hill, St. Bernard’s Village, St. Joseph, entered into rest on December 13, 2025. Former Accounts Clerk of S.Y. Adam & Son. Devoted member of St Anne’s Anglican Church.
Mother of Jamoy Cumberbatch.
Daughter of the late Marcella Cumberbatch and Earl Holder.
Sister of Eilene Marshall, Hilda, Migdol, Archie, Don and the late Mary Cumberbatch.
Aunt of Nicole Taylor, Dr. Joseph Myrie, Kemar, Keira, Amber and Amanda Cumberbatch.
Niece of Stella White, Marguerite Gill and Nelcia Robinson-Hazel.
Cousin of Dr. Justin Robinson, Carlson Husbands, Delores Bradshaw and several others.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday January 20, 2026 at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. followed by the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The body of the late Janice Cumberbatch will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Monday January 19, 2026 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
