It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of
JEAN PATRICIA ALLEYNE nee’ Gill, late of Lot 5 Kendal Hill Park, Christ Church, entered peacefully into rest on Monday, December 18, 2023.
Mathematician and Retired Educator conferred Centennial Honour (2001) for outstanding Nation Contribution in education. Devout Anglican and Member of the Christ Church Parish Church and the St. Michael Girls’ School Old Scholars.

Daughter of late Gerald Theophilus Gill and the late Muriel Gwendolyn Gill.
Mother of the late Gillian Robinson.
Sister of Ricardo (dec’d), Lionel (dec’d), Monica (dec’d), Anthony Cathcart “Vom”, Frank, Basil, Angela, Janetta Small, Marcia Hunte, Prunella Brathwaite and David Gill.
Mother-in-law of Leon Robinson.
Grandmother of Mia, Leo (Canada) and Ian Robinson.
Great-grandmother of Eli, Ava and Kaylee Robinson.
Relative of the Gill and Alleyne families of School Road, Carrington Village, St. Michael, Dottin, Greaves, Battershield and the Hinkson families of St. Lucy and the McClean family of Quakers Road, the Adamson family of Husbands, St. Michael, the Carter family of the USA, Brathwaite and Linton families of Canada and the U.K and the exended family circle.
Cherished and beloved friend of Licorish, Harewood, Tudor, Browne, Grant families and many others.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at The Cathedral Church of St.Michael and All Angels, St. Michael’s Row, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The interment will proceed to Westbury cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Friday.

Our deepest condolences to the Robinson, Gill and Alleyne families. I remember Aunt Jean giving us lessons for school every Saturday morning when we were in elementary school which made a positive difference for us. She will always be remembered. May she RIP.

A stalwart of lady who was instrumental in making a significant number of men and women in Barbados true professionals in their chosen field. this is as a result of her resolute tutelage.
