Jean Eleanor Austin

JEAN ELEANOR AUSTIN, aged 81, of Mansion Road, Bank Hall, St. Michael, entered peacefully into rest at home on Wednesday, 31 December 2025. Daughter of the late Clarence and Maggie Austin. Sister of Baldwin Austin and Pamela Pilgrim. Aunt of Faye and Jillian Pilgrim, and Verna Batson. Sister-in-law of Marian Austin. Great-aunt of Brendan Pilgrim, Ryan, Rashae and Reshaunte Mayers. Cousin of John and Keith Moore, Joy Clarke (all of USA), Emmerson and Athelston Clarke, Algernon Reece, Glendine Maynard, Hernina “Sis-Sis” Jones and the late Pearl Marsh and Phyllis Reece (USA), Ronald Johnson (UK), Waple Blackman, Michael Reece and many others. Relative of the Clarke, Mapp, Pounder, Howard, Richards and Edwards families. Close friend of Pat Mullin, Merlene Small, Michael Merritt, Torrance Forde, Sasha Forde and Alaric Brathwaite. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Bank Hall Methodist Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 11:00 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
