ODELL – JOAN ILENE, of 1st Avenue, Bank Hall. St. Michael, entered into rest on December 18, 2022. Retired registered nurse (UK and Barbados), Retired Matron of The Bessie Yearwood Home Barbados, Master Mechanic of Independent Order of Preston Mechanic Unity.
Daughter of the late Ethel and Charles Odell. Beloved mother of Reza Wright. Grandmother of Shervon Etienne. Great grandmother of Shaniya and Omari Etienne. Mother-in-law of Franklyn Wright. Sister of Harold, Jerry, Hallam, Charles “Legend” Odell, Andrew, Vora, Alexandria and Fern. Aunt of Don, Sandy, Dennis, Saide and others too numerous to mention. Great aunt of D’Yaira, D’Angelo, Omar better known as Marzville, Tyrese, Saniya and others too numerous to mention. Cousin of Marva and others. Dear Friend of Tusk, Sam, Marcelene, Jason, Veronica, Rose and Andrea.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment. Mourning colours are optional. The body of the late Joan Ilene Odell will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
