JOSEPH CHESTERFIELD MCCLEAN also known as “Mackard” aged 89, of 26 Pickford Road, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada formerly of Fitts Village, St. James, entered into rest on January 28, 2026. President of the Amateur Bodybuilding Association and Fraternity member of Eureka 20 (Canada).
Husband of the late Lorita McClean.
Father of Levonia Thompson.
Brother of David, Mark, Bernard, Ronald, Andrew, Robert, Ingrid and Brenda Alleyne and the late Leon Rock (Canada) and Edwin Bynoe (USA).
Uncle of Jamie, Chris and Lonnie Bynoe, Sasha, Ryan, Terrence, Ricardo, Victor, Darien and Destanie Alleyne.
Grandfather of Tyrone, Kelly-ann and Shane Thompson and Ashley Haynes.
Great-grandfather of Shadane Browne, Tyriek Husbands, Rashane, Tajaé and Tavio Thompson, Tyonne Stuart and Daron Ward.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Paynes Bay Methodist Church, St. James, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Mount pleasant Memorial Gardens for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The body of the late Joseph McClean will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
