JOSEPH NATHANIEL McGEARY, aged 99, of Bush Hall Main Road, St. Michael, entered peacefully into rest on August 19, 2021. Retired Station Sergeant of the Royal Barbados Police Force and Retired Range Officer of the Barbados Rifle and Pistol Federation.
Son of the late Lillian Archer.
Husband of Marjorie McGeary.
Father of Robert and Juby Hinds, Yvette Adams, Janice Davis, Coral Vaughn, Wayne McGeary (Retired Station Sergeant, RBPF), the late Maurice Hinds (Sergeant, RBPF) and Pamela McGeary.
Grandfather of Matthew Maynard (UK), Philice Albury, Philip and Philmore Davis (Nassau), Dr. Philippa Davis (USA), Tracy Padmore, Terry-Ann Moe, Alain Vaughn, Michelle McGeary-Owusu (USA), Waynelle McGeary-Browne, Wayne McGeary Jr., Barry Batson, Wayne and Mark Hinds, Inga King and 11 others.
Great-grandfather of 31.
Father-in-law of Carlyle Adams, Terance Vaughn, Marion McGeary and Charlene Hinds.
Brother-in-law of Grafton and Trevor Ifill, Joyce Moseley, Pat Parris and Anita Persad.
Cousin of Candacie, Merry, Wendy, Patsy, Angela, Yvette, Mark and Joy McGeary, Dyne and Atora Tappin, Enid and Sheila Husbands and the late Iton McGeary.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Friday, September 03, 2021 at James Street Methodist Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to St. Lucy Parish Church for the interment. The family invites you to view the live streaming of the service. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Friday. The body of the late Joseph McGeary will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Thursday, September 02, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Condolences to Phillipa Davis on the passing of her grandfather, Mr. McGeary. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning. May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory. I met Phillipa while she was attending school here in Montreal.
