KENNETH CHESTERFIELD GARNES age 87, of Brittons New Road, St. Michael and formerly of Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA was called to rest on January 11, 2023.
Husband of Sheila Garnes.
Son of the late Doris Garnes.
Brother of Barbara Burgess (James), Gloria Niles, Cynthia Garnes and Joyce Garnes (dec’d).
Uncle of Adrian and Neil Burgess (Andrea), Elsworth Niles, Edith Foster (Lemuel) and Anderson Niles (dec’d).
Great-uncle of many.
Son-in-law of Alma and McDonald Lovell (dec’d).
Brother-in-law of Leslie, Manton and Winston (dec’d).
Relative of Errol (Edla), Maurice, Teddy, Michael and Myrna Lewis (UK) and Sandra Lloyd (Patrick).
Friend of the Hart, Lashley, Howell, and Hendy families, Wayne Cadogan, Illene Tull, Sonia Brathwaite, Carolyn James and Family (USA), the Williams, Brewster, Waterman and Cain families and the members of The Bethel AME Church, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.
Special mention to the Austin and Griffith “Aggie” families who were a great influence in his early life.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the chapel of Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. followed by the interment. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cathedral Church of St. Michael and All Angels will be graciously accepted during the service. Donations can be made to the Bethel AME Church by overseas family and friends in Kenneth’s honour. The body of the late Kenneth Garnes will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
