LEON SARGEANT, affectionately known as “Sarge” of Odessa McClean Road, My Lord’s Hill, St. Michael, entered peacefully into rest on January 17, 2023.
Husband of Cicely Sargeant (QEH).
Son of the late Khatoon and George Sargeant.
Father of Fabian Sargeant (Ministry of Youth), Andre and Adrian Sargeant and the late Kimberly Lovell.
Father-in-law of Tracia Sargeant (Ministry of Public Service).
Grandfather of Danae, Daena, Tykairi, Tyler, Keandre, Keon, Alaina and Shanaira.
Brother of Alex, Alan and Charles (Guyana).
Son-in-law of Nola Ifill.
Nephew of Shiroon Frost, Khiroon, Dennis (Guyana) and John Bashier (USA) and Mavis Sargeant- Jefferson.
Brother-in-law of 1065 Sargeant Michael Ifill, Patsy Best (BADMC), Lois Best (Gordan Walters Primary), Jennifer Ifill (Ministry of Environment), Nadine Ifill, Rudolph Best and Rudolph Nurse.
Uncle of Shyion Roberts and many others.
Cousin of Ricardo Wickham (Seetu), Beaumont and Sherry Jefferson.
Friend of many.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Collymore Rock Church of the Nazarene, St. Michael, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. for the service. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The body of the late Leon Sargeant will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Farewell my brother. The dialysis patients of the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday shifts at the Belleville Clinic send their condolences to Mrs. Cicely Sargeant, her children, grandchildren and relatives. We will miss Sarge. his smile, jokes and stories. Hope we meet on the other side. The Council and members of the Barbados Kidney Association also extend their sympathy to the entire family.
