Leone, otherwise affectionately known as ‘LCQ’, was fiercely independent. Born in Barbados, she spent her childhood years in Guadeloupe, fluent in French she maintained that language throughout her life. Never shy to express herself or to give advice like “You are your own manager” so act responsibly.
After her hairdressing career, Leone subsequently owned the Hut Boutique in Hastings known as a ‘fashion stop’ for imported ladies clothing.
The family would like to thank Dr. Claudia. Martindale as well as Faith Nursing Services for their compassionate and loving care. These caregivers permitted Leone to enjoy independent living in her condo until the end.
A Mass of Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive condolences at the church from 10 a.m. prior to the Mass.
