Lewis Payne

LEWIS LEON PAYNE, better known as “Louis” or “Giant” aged 69, of Drax Hall Jump, St. George, entered into rest on December 2, 2025.

Son of the late Garbiel Brathwaite and Enid Yarde née Payne. Father of Shaquan Clarke. Brother of Leroy and Carlisle Payne, Monica, Emmerson, Courtney, Sylvester, Marcia, John and Sandra Yarde and the late Cynthia Grandison. Uncle of Brian, Lewis, Karen, Aisha, Yinka and Ashley (USA), Brianna (Canada), Lorraine and Chloe (UK), John, Jermain, DaCosta, Owen, Junior, Troy, Jerry, Arturo, Rascelle, Delano, Ronaldo, Mona, Tamara, Makesha, Zeona, Shameika, Sade, Aishatu, Kinitia, Onifa, Rekiah, Carolann, Cenella and the late Michael Yarde and Dwayne Howard and others. Great uncle of many. Cousin of many. Relative of the Payne, Brathwaite and Yarde families. Friend of the Drax Hall Community and others too numerous to mention. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Drax Hall, St. George, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Christ Church cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The body of the late Lewis Payne will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
