MEDFORD – MAISIE ODESSA “GRAN”, aged 95, of Pleasant Hall Land, St. Matthias, Christ Church and formerly of Kings Village, St. Michael, entered into rest on February 14, 2022. Former General Worker at MTW. Daughter of the late Maria Catherine Mayers and David Cobham. Mother of Maryann Greaves. Step-mother of Gordon (dec’d), Sydney and Keith Medford. Grandmother of Annette, Michael, Emmerson and Cheryldeane Mayers and Peter Medford (USA). Great-grandmother of Rishida Harding (Babb’s Minimart), Deshon Trent, Winston Clarke (dec’d), Romeldo Mayers, Akeem Hill, Renico Benn, Shamar and Adrian Mayers (Canada) and Isobel Carpenter (Canada). Great-great-grandmother of Mashembe and Mekeyvia Griffith, Amia Goodridge and Jayda Mayers (Canada). Sister of Kathleen Niles (UK) and Maria Keitha Mayers. Aunt of Phillip and Anthony Mayers, Jacqui, Girda, Sharon, Denise, Andrei and Nigel Niles (UK) and many others. Great-aunt of Kimberly Payne (Emerald Living), Derick Forde, Tamara Niles (UK) and many others. Relative of the Mayers, Medford, Niles, Hackett and Bynoe families. Beloved friend of Lionel Parry and family (Canada), Vadney Lopez, Andrina Reynold and many others. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Bethel Methodist Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The body of the late Maisie “Gran” Medford will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
