MARGARET ANITA HAYNES née ODLE, aged 78, of 24 Thorpes Terrace, St. James, entered into rest on September 22, 2026. Former Deputy Chief Personnel Officer, Former Director of Human Resources (Q.E.H.) and Devoted Elder of The People’s Cathedral Church.
Daughter of the late Carmen Elaine Odle and Ashton Odle.

Wife of Mr. Richard Haynes (Bellair’s Research Institute & TCL Ltd.).

Beloved Mother of Michael Haynes (U.S.A), David Haynes (Chef Foods Ltd.), Dr. Crystal Haynes (One Wellness Clinic) and Dr. Ruth Rawlings (U.S.A.).

Adored Grandmother of Anaya, Amari, Alexander, Rachel and Ethan.

Mother-in-Law of Candace Haynes, Corey Knight and Matthew Rawlings.

Sister of Michael Odle (Canada), Frank Odle, Rev. Ronald Odle, Bernard Odle (U.S.A), Timothy (Roger) Odle (Guyana), Angela Odle, June Grant, Maria (Heather) Odle and the late Marion Jacob.

The Haynes family wishes to extend gratitude to the staff of Ward A5 of the QEH as well as the staff of Bayview Hospital along with Dr. Greg Padmore, Dr. Karisha Hinkson, Dr. Kwame Connell, Dr. Arianne Harvey, Dr. Trena Stoute and Dr. DaCosta Thompson, Ms. Juliet Benjamin and Nurses Jenny, Kassidy and Kim for their kindness and care.

Margaret lived as an angel among us and has left a tremendous legacy of faith, family and love.

All who were touched by her life are invited to a Service of Thanksgiving in her memory at The People’s Cathedral Church, Bishop’s Court Hill, St. Michael, on Friday, October 16, 2026, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. Pre-Service Tributes begin at 9:30 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
