Faithful long term member of the Democratic Labour Party, and Past President of the Democratic League of Women and the National Organisation of Women. Former Board Member of the Sanitation Service Authority and the Barbados Water Authority.
Mother of Mary Proute, Jacinta Lashley (USA), Arleigh Todd, and the late Mark, Addison and Adrian Todd.
Grandmother of Shawn and Therese (USA); Daleann, Jason, Tonie, Ian, Leron, Jamal, Jenique and Javon (St. Vincent); Shamar, Tonya, Lia and Lance.
Great grandmother of Asia, Denairo, Jaiden, Donte, Alayre, and Shem; Skyy, Zoe-Ty, and Shakur (USA); Zaria, Jackie, and Ethan (St. Vincent), and Chloe.

The funeral leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Friday January 2, 2026 for St. Patrickโs Roman Catholic Cathedral, Jemmottโs Lane, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 9:30am for tributes followed by a service of thanksgiving at 10:00am. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the internment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30am on Friday. Her body will repose for viewing at Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Thursday, 1 January, 2026 from 4:00pm until 6:00 p.m.
