MARIA ANETA VIOLETTA ASGILL CBE MJF JP of “Aldaroma”, Ifill Road, Clapham, St. Michael, entered into rest peacefully at the age of 91 on April 29th, 2026, in Ottawa Ontario Canada. Former Matron of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the church yard. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Donations in memory of Maria Asgill will be graciously accepted on behalf of the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral and St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic School. The body of the late Maria Asgill will repose for viewing in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
